**This schedule replaces any previously published schedules due to either postponements or cancellations due the Covid -19 situation. Most of the ones that had to cancel or reschedule are rescheduling for this year. Any changes to this schedule will be posted in the Exchange Club newsletter, on our website under Tomb News and the SHGTUS membership website.

March 4 – 5, 2021 – Tomb replica at Renaissance Marquis on US 27 South of Rome, Ga. Exhibit times will be 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. both days. I will need at least two volunteers to help with set up on the 4th and break down on the 5th. Volunteers to assist at the exhibit welcome both days. April 15 – 17, 2021 – The Tomb replica Scheduled for this date at Truett – McConnell University has been postponed until Sept. 23 – 25. Details to follow in March 2021.

April 27, 2021 – Tomb replica set up in the Palladium at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds at 9 a.m. for the DAR from Acworth to see the replica and tour Rome. I will need 2 – 3 to help set up and breakdown and load the trailer following the presentation. The presentation time for the DAR will be at 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Site address is 69 Church St., SE, Rome, Ga. 30161; Contact number is (706)235-6829 and ask for Tyler Buice or (706)766-8451 and ask for Bill King.

May 14, 2021 – Frankfort, Indiana for World War I and History of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Frankfort, Indiana Library. Details TBA at the end of March as this firm. Contact is Bill King (706)766-8451.

May 29 – 31, 2021 – Tomb replica at the Fairgrounds for Memorial Day weekend activities and Memorial Service. The location for the event will be at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds located at 69 Church Street, SE, Rome, Georgia 30161. Hours of exhibits: Saturday, May 29, 2021: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Sunday, May 30, 2021: Noon – 4:00p.m.; Monday, May 31, 2021 – 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. with the Memorial Service at 11 a.m. . Herb Smith will be the keynote speaker for the “One Nation Under God” program on Friday , July 9, 2021 in the main convention room. Nov. 4 – 6, 2021 – Tomb replica to Manchester, Ga. H.S. for pre – Veteran’s Day program and parade. Tomb replica will be on display the 4th and 5th in the school gym from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. both days and the trailer will be in the parade on the 6th. Following the lunch on the grounds at the High School after the parade we will return to Rome. The address for Manchester High School is 405 North 5th Ave., Manchester, Ga. 31816. Nov. 9, 2021 – Tomb replica at the Thornton Recreation Center, 102 North Floyd Park Rd., Rome, Ga. 30165 for the Rome City/Floyd County retired teachers luncheon at 11:00 a.m. to observe Veteran’s Day. Nov. 9, 2021 – The Tomb replica will be set up in the lobby of the Rome City Auditorium, 601 Broad St., Rome, Ga. 30161 for a concert for Veteran’s Day by the Northwest Georgia Winds at 7:30 p.m. Set up will be immediately following the event at the Thornton Center mentioned above. Nov. 11, 2021 – Tomb replica in Rome, Ga. at the Myrtle Hill Cemetery, 20 Myrtle St., SW, Rome, Ga. 30161 next to the Tomb of the Known Soldier of World War I for the Centennial of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Contact is Bill King (706)766-8451.

Nov. 11, 2021– Following the previous appearance of the replica it will be moved to the John Towers statue just outside the City Auditorium (weather permitting) to be on display for the Rome International Film Festival’s Salute to the Veterans on Nov. 11 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and again on the 12th from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Rome City Auditorium, 601 Broad St., Rome, Ga. 30161.
